Analysis and program creation - Can create a new program that sythesizes the transition and future values, design-related precedents, and various information about the target and object byu collection and analyzing them.
Assignment 2
Barrier-free design - It can be designed taking into account the needs of various builidng users, including the elderly and the disabled. If there is no elevator in a cultural heritage building, a vertical movement system can be built that takes barrier-free design into consideration along with internal reconstruction.
Assignment 3
Expansion, renovation, and repair design - First, understand the architectural, historical, and cultural preservation value of the existing building. It is possible to design by reviewing various issues such as changing or maintaining the form or function of an exsisting building, such as expansion, renovation, and repair. In particular, It is possible to build a harmonious design based on the relationship between existing and new buildings.
JeongDok Library, located in Bukchon, Seoul, is a building that was used as a school in the past. This building, which shows the beginning of the school building, is now preserved as an architectural cultural asset and is used as a library.
However, I think that preserving the existing building as it is rather than using it reduces the value of the building and space.
Therefore, we would like to propose a JeongDok Library that harmonizes the past and the present by providing a new space suitable for the present era while preserving the identity of the existing JeongDok Library.
