"Just as the word ‘function’ contains the word ‘fun,’ I always try to add an emotional values to design, beyond function. When it is too minimal, design runs the risk of seeming cold, and it can even be rejected by people.

This is why I try to add irony and a sense of humor to my work, like spices that enhance its flavor".

- Studio Nendo

The process of making this chair is a structure in which two chair sections come out from one piece. I designed a chair of clean lines on the outside and a chair with a lot of curvature on the inside to give a strong contrast. I used laser cutting to make the chair pieces come out each, and I printed the legs of the inner chair a little longer to make the chair the same height, while utilizing the frame that is characteristic of the solid voids of the two chairs.
